Efron replaces LaBeouf in action flick

Zac Efron is set to take on a mafia boss after signing up to replace Shia LaBeouf in violent action comedy The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman.

He’ll stun fans as the title character, who travels to Europe and falls in love with a woman - who turns out to be the girlfriend of a top gangster.

Efron will have to endure "one bruising beat down after another" to win over the girl in the upcoming movie, which LaBeouf was originally slated to star in
