Bids for a single lock of Justin Bieber's hair have reached $US6,700 in an online auction.

BIEBS cut his famous bob at the weekend and he is offering his locks to various charities in an effort to help them raise money.

And one lot has already proven to be a big success on eBay.

The hair up for grabs on the auction site was given to chat show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Bieber told DeGeneres, "I'm giving pieces of it to different people. We're doing something special. We want you to donate it to whatever charity you want."

DeGeneres plans to hand over the proceeds from the hair auction to California animal rescue centre The Gentle Barn.

U2 back at Glasto

Rock superstars U2 will headline this year's Glastonbury after pulling out of last year's festival at the last minute.

The Irish band's 2010 date was axed when Bono suffered a back injury and Gorillaz were hastily lined up as a replacement.

But now the quartet have announced they’ll be joining Beyonce and Coldplay as bill-toppers this June… if you’re lucky enough to be going!

Kirsten Dunst is fast emerging as a major style icon- getting around everywhere with her orange lipstick and gaining accolades including being the face of Miu Miu and being a Boy by Band of Outsider’s favourite – recently starring in their spring look book.

Now she’s the face of the campaign for the newest Bulgari perfume… Mon Jasmin Noir, available in April.

I’m not usually one to write about 'campaigns' to give free plugs but I did this story this morning and the shots are really amazing!

Alyssa Milano is to be a mum.

The 38-year-old actress is expecting her first child with husband David Bugliari.

Milano confirmed the news on Twitter on Tuesday, writing that she "couldn't be happier".

You can catch her in the movie Hall Pass, which opens in Aussie cinemas next Thursday.

Stars 'sending prayers' to Christchurch

Stars including Slash, Justin Bieber, Denise Richards and Benji Madden have reached out to the residents of Christchurch in New Zealand, after a devastating earthquake struck yesterday.

At least 75 people have died in the powerful tremor (including an Australian) which destroyed several buildings in the city and prompted officials to declare a state of emergency in the area.

There are hundreds of people missing.

As news of the disaster broke around the world, stars took to their Twitter pages to express their shock at the earthquake.

In a post, Madden writes, "Sending prayers out to everyone in ChristChurch. Beautiful place and great people. Thoughts & prayers with you guys in NZ. God bless!"

Australians Dannii Minogue and Miranda Kerr were also stunned to hear about the disaster and took to their twitter pages to share their thoughts.

Biebs declares, "My prayers go out tonight to the people of New Zealand. God bless" and Slash adds, "Our thoughts & prayers go out to everybody in Christchurch."

Denise Richards posted a message on Twitter, "Praying for all the people in Christchurch, NZ during this difficult time... sending lots of love and prayers"

The funny man has admitted he's worth a a hell of a lot but insists he donates a large chunk of his fortune to tax officials.

Gervais amassed huge personal wealth by syndicating his hit sitcom The Office around the world, and details of his finances recently leaked online.

He’s since confirmed the net figure is correct - and jokes now the size of his fortune is out, he will be expected to share it with his family.

The restraining order has been downgraded… he can be near her but he just can’t annoy, harass, or stalk her.

He’s still on probation.  

Perhaps all is forgotten (but not forgiven) between Ri Ri and Chris Brown.

Prosecutors say Brown will ask a judge to ease a restraining order barring him from being near his ex-girlfriend in court today.

He’s been made to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna after pleading guilty to bashing her after a pre-Grammy Awards party in 2009.

RIHANNA has told her lawyers she’s keen to have the order downgraded!

Glee star Matthew Morrison has sparked major speculation amongst the tabloids.. of a new romance with Olivia Munn after the couple was spotted publicly displaying a lot of affection.

The actor was snapped cuddling up to the Perfect Couples star as they watched an ice hockey game in New York City.

Morrison was seen playfully nibbling on Munn's arm and holding her hand, and the two stars later appeared to share a PASH while watching the game.

Sheen: I pray for my son Charlie

Veteran actor Martin Sheen has revealed he’s praying for his troubled son Charlie and wants to appear on screen with him again.

The West Wing star says the actor, who has fought a well-documented battle with drugs and checked into rehab last month, had the backing of his family.

Speaking at the UK premiere of his new pilgrimage film The Way, the 70-year-old - who acted alongside (a much better looking back then) Charlie in the 1987 film Wall Street - said he would be happy to work with him in the future.

Sheen’s new film is directed by another of his three sons… Emilio Estevez.  It’s yet to get an Australian release date.

With a celebrity-studded crowd looking on, Rihanna rocked the halftime show at the NBA All-Star game in LA on her 23rd birthday and she looked HOT!  

She had some other big names helping her sing her hits, with Drake joining in on What's My Name? And then… dripping in gold chains… a red-clad Kanye west came out for All of the Lights.

Beyonce and hubby Jay-Z sat courtside, with Justin Bieber, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Steve Tyler and Grammy winner Bruno Mars near by.

Actor Damon Gameau wins Tropfest

Whittled down from an initial 700 entries… Actor Damon Gameau has won first prize at this year's Tropfest short film festival.

The Aussie actor, who has appeared in the Underbelly series and the 2009 movie Balibo, was widely praised for his film Animal Beatbox.

The movie is an animation described as having a catchy lyrical and poetic narrative.

The film was shot in Gameau's mother's spare room and cost just $85 to make.

Kate Moss to design own wedding dress

 The supermodel is busy planning her nuptials after longtime boyfriend Jamie Hince proposed last month, but rather than turn to one of her designer friends and ask them to create her wedding dress, Moss is dreaming up her own one-of-a-kind perfect gown.

Fashion mogul Vivienne Westwood says:

"I think she's designing it herself. She has done her own fashion range and she knows about clothes. She knows what she is doing, she doesn't need my help.

"Kate is a mate. I've known her for years and I'm really happy for her."

Leonardo DiCaprio moving to SYDNEY!!

Well for a little while at least.

Aussie film maker Baz Luhrmann will film a new 3D version of The Great Gatsby in Sydney this year… and Leo will star in the production.

Filming will kick off in August and go for 17 weeks.

The project is expected to attract $120 million in investment to NSW and support more than 825 jobs… but who cares…. DiCaprio will be hitting the Ivy for sure and that’s all that matters.

Top Model house destroyed by fatal fire

The house which was to be home to the filming of the latest series of Germany's Next Top Model has been burnt to the ground in a fatal fire in LA.

Heidi Klum and her fellow producers will now have to find a new location to film after last week's blaze, which killed a Los Angeles firefighter.

Investigators are still looking into how it started, but it's believed to have begun in the fireplace.

Filming was due to start this weekend.

Minogue opens world tour

Kylie Minogue is obsessed with being a Greek Goddess these days.

She’s gone hard on the theme for the opening of her new world tour in Denmark.

The songstress rides a gold Pegasus statue at one point in the show in which she makes eight Dolce and Gabbana costume changes… one of which sees her dressed as the greek goddess.

The 42-year-old is joined on the multi-million-dollar stage set - featuring high-powered water jets - by a six-piece band, eight aerial artists and 10 dancers… it’s her biggest show to date.
